DOCNA now allows us to set up a warm up area for the "on deck" dog that includes a jump, weaves and a contact. We did this for the Friday evening classes at the December 7th trial. This is being offered to allow the dogs to have a better chance to complete warm up before doing the full run. This area is not to be set up to allow teams to work on a particular sequence on the course (no moving of equipment). It is also not an area where we would allow training devices such as clickers and treats, as it is close enough to the ring to disrupt the working dogs run. While the idea behind this is good it does take up extra space and is set up on a different surface (matting) then we compete on. So are you interested in us doing this at future trials? Is it worth giving up crating and seating space for?
